Join us December 1st 2015 for The 19th Annual Mathematics Day Conference
This year the Tidewater Team for Improving Mathematics presents a K – 9 focused conference that will examine how mathematics is being addressed in the classroom and how we can continue to improve our instruction. Professionals from the Tidewater Region will be presenting on how to incorporate problem solving into your classroom, how to employ lesson studies, how to effectively use hands on activities and manipulatives to enrich mathematical learning, and so much more! Our keynote speaker will be Anderson Norton, an Associate Professor of Mathematics Education at Virginia Tech. He will explore how students learn fractions.
